For my Art work concentration, I have decided to pursue my interest towards creating houses. Why houses? First off, I am amazed by architecture. Architectural designs have always struck out to me over the years. Each house I plan on creating, will be uniquely different in every way. I will use the shapes and curvatures of the landscapes and settings to makes each house fit into and/or not fit into their ideal habitats. This is a challenge that is going to be fun to take on. I will be able to show a wide range of concepts.

1. What does the face of uncertainty mean to you?

To me, the face of uncertainty means that I am not familiar with my Art Work. I enjoy creating art, but I am not sure where to go with it.

2. How do you feel about the notion of, "doing something no one much cares wether you do, and for which there may be niether audience nor reward"?

I feel that art is a passion and a desire that one must have. I create art for my personal satisfaction: art that reflects my taste, thoughts and feelings. My goal is to satisfy myself and not an audience. I am not looking for a materialistic reward – just the reward of accomplishment.

3. The Assumptions: take one of the assumptions listed below and consider your personal relationship to it. How does the assumption relate to your feelings and thoughts toward art and artmaking? Please write a short paragraph analyzing the chosen assumption and your relationship to it. - Artmaking invloves skill that can be learned

“Practice makes perfect.” This statement is great. You can apply it to nearly every aspect of life: sports, school, work and even making Art. When creating art, there will always be something new that you discover. Each piece of artwork is different. The reason for being different is the ability of having learned a new skill. Every artist out there in the world has the ability to learn something new each time they create Art. This is why, “No One Artist (and their piece of Artwork) is ever perfect. There will always be some type of flaw, upon which they can correct and make better

4. Artmaking has been around longer than the art establishment.
1. Definition/ Identity as an artist has both drawbacks and benefits. What does labeling yourself as an artist do for you or not do for you personally?
2. What does labeling yourself as an artist do or not do for you as others view you?

1. Personally, I believe that I would not label myself as a direct artist. Art for me is a way in which I can physically express my feelings, thoughts and mood.

2. If you label yourself as an artist, others will await expectation from you. They will criticize every piece of Art you create. Many will critique in a positive way, while others in a negative way. Labeling yourself as an artist leads people to have expectations from you.
